Laurie Carantit, HRIP
Director of Operations
Laurie manages the HRIP Certification Program, contract administration, vendor liaison relations for the operations of the association, supporting the Executive Director with committee responsibilities and continuing to be a bridge between marketing and email distribution and facilitating initiatives across all IHRIM staff.
She has been working for IHRIM since February 2006. During this time she has worked in many roles including serving as the chapter liaison to staff, marketing coordination, social media & press relations, managing marketing trade agreements, planning annual conference, administering the HRIP certification program and supporting staff as needed on a variety of projects.
Laurie’s background includes customer service, desktop publishing and administrative roles in the financial industry. She has worked for INVESCO Funds Group, Inc. and Aurora Loan Services, A Lehman Brothers Company prior to joining IHRIM.
Laurie holds a B.A., in Sociology from Keene State College. Originally from Maine, Laurie has been living and working in the Denver, Colorado area for the past 16 years. She has two children and is an active volunteer with the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America.
Megan handles Member Services for IHRIM, works with the new IHRIM community initiative and supports the general operations of IHRIM.
Megan has been working with our IHRIM affiliates for a number of years. She has worked with IHRIM Atlanta since 2009 as their administrator handling their memberships and communications, helping with meeting logistics and supporting their board of directors. Megan joined LEHRN in 2013 in a similar capacity as well as keeping their website updated and helping to plan their annual HR Tech Expo.
Megan’s background includes working for United Parcel Service in their Marketing and National Accounts departments. In addition, she worked for Leica Geosystems in Human Resources and helped transition their HR function from Canada to the United States.
Megan graduated from Vanderbilt University with a B.S. in Psychology. Originally from New York, Megan has lived in Metro Atlanta since her childhood. She is married with two children and is active in her church and community.
Violetta is responsible for the look and feel of all of IHRIM’s communications: the website, the email blasts, the exhibitor and sponsor prospectus pieces, and our style guide.
She has extensive experience in digital media design, brand identity, print collateral, and project management. Over the past ten years, Violetta has worked on printed and digital campaigns across a broad array of industries including lifestyle, entertainment, healthcare, education, and technology. She helped to develop clear, intuitive, and distinctive branding for clients ranging from emerging businesses and nonprofit organizations to national agencies and New York Times bestselling authors and illustrators.
Violetta’s philosophy is to create aesthetically pleasing and compelling work that focuses on simplicity and a user-friendly experience. Her technical expertise, creative vision and collaborative spirit help her clients define, enhance, and reshape their image while achieving anticipated business goals.
Violetta holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from Strayer University. Originally from Poland, she has resided in the DC area for the past 15 years.
Workforce Solutions Review Staff
Tom Faulkner is publisher of IHRIM's publication, Workforce Solutions Review, a position he has held since 1989.
Tom is also CEO and managing director of Futura Publishing, a 10-year old firm that specializes in publishing books and magazines, print and/or digital, for trade and professional associations. Previously, he was president and CEO of Rector-Duncan & Associates, Inc., a firm founded in 1970 in Austin.The firm’s services included full service marketing, public relations, publishing and association management.
Tom majored in journalism at the University of Texas at Austin, has worked for several leading newspapers including the San Francisco Chronicle and the Houston Chronicle, and is a Vietnam veteran.
Patty Huber is the advertising manager for Futura Publishing LLC responsible for all print and online advertising in Workforce Solutions Review magazine for IHRIM.
Her in-depth training in advertising sales provides HR technology vendors and consultants with the expertise they need to reach their sales goals by marketing through IHRIM. She has a wide range of experience having worked in various sales roles for several associations including IHRIM, AANP, TIADA, TFDA, TMC, and in Direct Sales at Dell Computer Corporation.
