Anthony Hutchinson

Anthony Hutchinson is an accomplished Human Resources Technology professional with over 12 years of experience in the field. He has implemented and administered several HRIS and Talent management systems for several companies. Some of the systems that he has worked with include Halogen e-Appraisal, Oracle-Peoplesoft HCM, Taleo applicant tracking system, iCims applicant tracking system, Lawson HCM, and Workday HCM.

Anthony is highly skilled at building cross functional relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors as is a strong advocate of HR technology.

Anthony is currently the Senior HRIS Analyst HCM & Reporting at the Bridgestone America’s. In this role he is responsible for contributing to the successful launch and sustained administration of the Workday HCM system. Anthony also provides a consultative presence with system upgrades and improvements.

Anthony obtained his Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Middle Tennessee State University and his Master’s in Information Technology from Western Governor’s University. He also holds a Certificate in Project Management from Western Kentucky University to go along with HRIP, PHR, and SHRM-CP certifications.

His area of expertise includes helping SMEs in HR Technology strategy, system selection, planning, project management, implementation, adoption, optimizing/leveraging HR technology, HR business process improvement, building analytics & advanced analytics. His expertise also includes HR functional side supporting multi-state, designing and implementing policies and procedures for the workforce, benefits, compensation, performance management, workers compensation, etc.

Baskaran earned his MBA from Alliance Manchester Business. School, University of Manchester, UK, Master of Arts in Public Administration, and Bachelor of Business Administration from Annamalai University, Chidambaram, India. Baskaran is a certified GPHR, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, and PHRca. Currently serves as Programs Chair for PIHRA.
Bennett Reddin

Chief Technology Officer

Currently CTO at CloudMills, Bennie has contributed to HR technology for over 30 years, developing and architecting HR systems from early small-computer and ERP systems to modern Microservice Architectures. As a consultant, he has delivered meaningful business value in systems implementation, and as architect & technologist, he has applied business needs back into HRIS product offerings.

Key research and implementation for Bennie currently focuses on leveraging the volumes of data centered around the people of organizations to realize their potential through a cohesive fabric of integration, analytics, and AI feedback into improved systems experiences.
Carolyn Broderick, SPHR, SHRM-CP, HRIP

Senior HR Systems Analyst
Mount Sinai Health System

Carolyn Broderick, SPHR, SHRM-CP, HRIP is part of the HR Workforce Planning & Analytics team at the Mount Sinai Health System in New York. She is responsible for data and processes in HR and works with clients on HR Metrics and Analytics.

Recently, Carolyn was Senior Consultant with DeFoe Associates, a consulting firm that implements and optimizes HR technology, where she was responsible for process improvement, data analytics, Diversity metrics consulting and regulatory reporting. She worked with clients such as Biogen and Daiichi Sankyo.

Previously, Carolyn was Manager, Strategic Data at Prudential Financial where she was responsible for Affirmative Action and Diversity database management, data analysis functions, systems implementation, regulatory reporting and system upgrades. She was accountable for keeping Prudential’s HR technology in compliance with government requirements. She also held positions in Benefits, Employee Relations, Policy & Process, HR Technology & Staffing.

Carolyn is past president of the Jersey Shore Association for HR and is currently the SHRM NJ State HR Certification Director. She has taught SHRM Certification courses for the last seven years, most recently at Rutgers and FDU.

Carolyn holds a BA in English from Kean University and an MA in Liberal Studies from Monmouth University in NJ. She was a member of the Society for Human Resources National HR Technology Management Panel from 2012 to 2019 and is currently on the Diversity and Inclusion Panel. She also holds the HRIP, SPHR, and SHRM-SCP certifications.

She has lead projects and programs relating to analytics, lifecycle technologies management, recruitment and staffing, executive compensation, performance management, employee recognition, employee relations, system deployments, data management, workflow, process re-engineering, surveys and innovation.

She currently leads workforce analytics and process optimization activities in the federal sector and holds HRIP, PMP and SWP certifications.
Janna Hartsock

Ms. Hartsock has more than 23 years of experience in Human Resources, with 18 years in HR Systems, the last 2 as an HCM Consultant for the Infor HCM Cloudsuite product. She has worked for companies as small as 450 employees and as large as 22,000, with multiple HR systems products, and has led multiple large-scale implementations as well as upgrades, and has gone through 2 HR Systems Strategy-building processes. She has been a member of IHRIM since 2003, has had an article published in Workforce Solutions Review, and has served in multiple regional IHRIM chapter positions, as well as the on the national-level Affiliates Committee. She has presented at multiple IHRIM conferences, software-specific conferences, as well as at User Groups and through webinars.

Michelle is Manager HR Systems at Bruce Power the world’s largest nuclear facility in Ontario, Canada. Michelle is accountable for the strategy and roadmap of HR Technology, product management and innovation of the technology used by the HR team including Workday, Robotics Process Automation and Analytics.

For over 15 years Michelle has been instrumental in ensuring the increased value and benefit of the HR technology spanning a number of industries such as Healthcare, Education, Oil & Gas and Nuclear. Over the course of her career she has taken on Analyst roles responsible for the configuration and maintenance of HR technologies, Work Force Planning, Reporting and Security as well as participating as part of a team doing implementation. Now as a leader in the HR Technology space she leads strategic planning; develops HRIS teams and put in place the support needed to ensure the success of both the technology and the team as they continue to disrupt HR; leads reporting and analytics to empower the business to have critical data at their fingertips; and implemented new technologies that support Human Resources.

Michelle is passionate about HRIT and engaging others to leverage HR technology to enable efficiencies for the business, it’s employees and managers.
Nancy Schmidt

Director of Finance and Accounting

Nancy Schmidt, CMA, HRIP, SPHR, has more than twenty years’ experience in the Human Resources information technology profession with a focus on integrating people, process, and technology to generate a positive ROI on technology investments. Her core expertise includes strategy development and execution, system implementations/enhancements, and data analytics and reporting. She also has significant experience in all aspects of HR/Payroll operations, including compensation and benefits planning and administration, talent management and succession planning, and leadership training and development. She has successfully applied her knowledge and expertise within a variety of applications – including PeopleSoft, Lawson, Ultimate Software, and several others.

Nancy is a strategic executive leader with a diverse background in accounting, finance, systems, and human resources. She is currently a Senior Consultant for Robert Half Management Resources. In addition to her 30 years’ leadership experience at various companies, she has over 10 years’ experience as an adjunct faculty member for a local college, teaching both undergraduate and graduate level courses. The most recent courses she taught were a graduate level course on HR Strategy and undergraduate courses on Compensation and Benefits Administration, and Accounting Information Systems. She has been a speaker at multiple conferences discussing best practices around HRIS enhancements, internal controls, and the changing role for HR Business Partners

Nancy has a Master’s of Science degree in Management and Organizational Behavior with an emphasis in Total Quality Management from Silver Lake College, Manitowoc, WI. Her undergraduate degree is a Bachelor of Business Administration with double majors in accounting and finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a Certified Management Accountant (recertified in 2018), plus she holds dual HR certifications as a Human Resources Information Professional (recertified in 2016 and will recertify again in 2019) and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (recertified in 2017).
